Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving at the ranch with my family. The boys were so excited to be able to spend 5 nights at the ranch. We all had a very good time. The boys were excited to play with their cousins, drive their jeeps, see the cows, donkeys and deer, and help Daddy and Uncle Craig build deer stands. Steven's mom, Joe and Bryan came up for one-night after Thanksgiving to visit and play with the boys. The night before we headed home we all went to the Lights of Tejas for the first time. It was a Christmas light show right across the street from the ranch. It was very cold but the kids loved it. Levi still asks to go on hay rides. It was a very nice Thanksgiving and I am very thankful for my family and my two precious, rowdy boys!

Fun with Dad

I had to work the weekend before Thanksgiving and Steven took the boys to a friends ranch on Saturday. They had a lot of fun feeding cows, looking for hogs and riding horses. Levi just watched but Dylan rode with Steven.

Pictures from my Phone

This blog will be what we have been up to. It includes pictures from the boys at the dentist office, hiking in the woods behind the boys school (this is our new Friday afternoon activity) and visitng Dewberry Farms. We went to Dewberry Farms with a group from their school last Monday and had a blast. We went on a wagon ride, rode the big slide and cars. They also had farm animals (cows, pigs, goats and ducks). Dylan's favorite was petting the baby chicks and watching the cow milking demonstration. Levi just loves the outdoors and looking at the animals but he does not get too close.

Dylan's Birthday Party

Dylan wanted to have his party at Moody Gardens in Galveston but we settled for the downtown Aquarium. We had a large turn out and a great time. We toured the exhibit which included a huge python and white tigers. There was also a touch tank where the kids were able to touch sting rays. Then we had dinner and cake in the Aquarium and headed out for the rides. We went on the shark train, ferris wheel and carousel. We all had a great time and Dylan had an awesome birthday party. After the party we would not go to sleep and eventually feel asleep sitting up on the couch - he did not want his birthday to ever end!

Dylan is 4

Dylan's real birthday was on a school day so we opened presents before school and took iced donuts for his class. After school we headed to Nana's house to give Dylan his big gift. Steven and I boought him a ride-on Gator. He calls it his John Deere! He loved it and we had dinner and cake over there. It was a nice birthday celebration.

Below is a picture of Dylan and his friend Caleb at school they have the same birthday and have been in the same class 3 years in a row. They are so handsome.

Halloween 2011

The boys have been very excited about Halloween this year. Dylan had his IronMan costume at least a month before Halloween. The Friday before they had a parade at school and wore their costumes. Levi did not want to wear his Superman suit so he wore a puppy suit and Dylan was IronMan. Levi saw Steven right away and the parade was over for him. Dylan waved at us and proudly paraded to chapel.

Halloween night we had a neighborhood parade led by a firetruck and then the boys trick or treated. They both loved it. Dylan ran the whole way with is friend Hunter and Levi and I followed behind. Levi was saying trick or treat and thank you. Of course everyone thought he was so cute! It was a Happy Halloween indeed.

Other October news - Levi no longer has a pacifer. It was a tough 4-5 days but now he is completely over it. We went to the dentist who told us it was affecting his jaw, etc. and to get rid of it and Steven took it away that night. So Levi is now a big boy but still has his blankey!

Hawaii 2011

The last week of September, Steven and I left for 5 nights for the Big Island of Hawaii. We are very fortunate and have friends with a family beach house/ranch there. We went with several great friends and had an awesome time. We had 2 beautiful beach days, hiked 4.2 miles across a volcano and relaxed! It was hard leaving the boys but we knew they were in good hands.
