July Pics

From our busy month. Most of these pictures are from July 4th at the lake with my sisters family.

Levi is 10 months

Here are recent pictures of Levi. He now plays hide and seek with his bath towel or a burb cloth, he loves playing dinosaurs and roars at them (wonder who taught him that), and due to teething loves eating popsicles. I am thankful that he is such a good baby because his older brother is hard to handle these days.

Busy July

I can't believe it is already the 15th! We have been too busy with house/move stuff and Dylan and Levi always keep us busy! We are still in the old house but the new house is almost ready for move in. July 4th we spent at the lake house with my parents and sisters family. We all enjoyed boating, jet skiing and my mom's good food. My dad, Melinda and I got in trouble for sneaking off to see the fireworks but their neighborhood did have a great fireworks show over the lake! Levi did not sleep well so I am not sure if we will be traveling with him again soon. He likes his own bed and all of his front teeth are coming in. Dylan has been in camp this week at his school. The theme was Dinosaurs so he has really been enjoying it. I am going to try and sign him up for another camp. He seems to do better when he is busy and that way I may have time to pack up the house.

We have been swimming a lot. Dylan is swimming really well, he just needs to learn to come up and breathe and I think he could swim across the whole pool by himself. We have practiced falling in and swimming to the steps or the side. Levi loves swimming also and kicks a lot when he is in the pool. In the bathtub Levi now lays on his stomach and acts like he is swimming. He is not crawling yet but really trying hard to do so. He is also showing an interest on pulling up on things but has not mastered that yet either. I am just glad he it trying. Steven has the camera so I will add recent pics soon.

College Friends Reunion

Last Friday we had a college friends reunion. We all meet up with the kids during the day and then just the moms went out for dinner. It was great seeing everyone and their little ones. It was also nice to have a mom's night out! We all agreed we still look 21.

Levi is 9 months tomorrow

But we went to the doctor today and below are his stats:

Height 28 3/4 inches - 75-90%
Weight 21 lbs, 3 oz - 50-75%
Head 18 1/2 inches - 75-90%

I was surprised about his weight I thought he would definitely be in a higher percentile! He got a good report from the doctor and more medicine for his eczema so we are very thankful. He also got one shot and did not even cry - what a tough guy!

Levi at 9 months is now sleeping through the night (mostly) and starting to be so curious and try and move a lot more. He now rolls very well and most of the time when I go to get him out of his bed he is on his stomach. He is starting to eat a lot more foods and wants to self feed. Hopefully he will be crawling soon - I may regret saying this when he is all over the house getting into stuff. He is sweet, lovable, likes to giggle, babble and watch his brother! He also has curly hair. Happy 9 months Levi!

Beach Vacation

We spent last week with my sisters family at the beach in Port Aransas. We had a great time even though it was a busy vacation (5 kids)! The kids loved running around and playing with each other even though Dylan was a little rowdy! We spent most of our days on the beach. Levi liked splashing in the water buckets and also kept trying to eat sand and seaweed. He liked the waves until water got in his face. Dylan ran around, built sand castles and his favorite beach activity this year was finding sea creatures (shrimp, crabs and little fish) stuck in the seaweed. Steven taught him how to catch these in his buckets. One afternoon Melinda and I took the older kids (Layla, Dylan and River) on the dolphin tour boat. We were able to see dolphins, sting rays and crabs in the ocean and then see and touch in a touch tank starfish, grouper fish, a jellyfish that did not sting and other ocean life. The adults took turns babysitting so each couple even got a night out!
